Jesus Messiah – Our Savior King:
a meditation on the significance of Jesus

John 14:6-7, NKJV

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Without Him, we are without hope. We can do nothing by ourselves, but through Him who strengthens us, we can do all things.

Jesus is our Righteousness. Even though He knew no sin, He became sin for us, and sacrificed Himself on the Cross, so that we may in turn become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus is our Savior King; the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. He is the one mediator between Man and God. He is our Friend. He sticks closer to us than any brother. We are joint-heirs in the Family of God together with Jesus. We are co-laborers with Him. He is the vine, and we are the branches.

Our Savior King is the Light of our lives. He is the Bread of Life, and the Sun of righteousness. He is the Rose of Sharon and the Lilly of the valleys. He is the bright and morning star, the wonderful counselor, and the Prince of peace. He is the Son of God, and the son of man. He is our Redeemer, and the Captain of our salvation, the one in whom we live, move, and have our being.

Jesus is the Word made flesh. He is Emmanuel – God with us. In Him is the fullness of the God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto Him. He is Highly exalted, and His Name is above all names. At the sound of His Name, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
